The first-prize winner in this twice-yearly contest will receive $1,500
The Glimmer Train Very Short Fiction Award is open to all writers. Any story up to 3,000 words that has not appeared in a print publication is welcomed.
In addition to the first prize of $1,500, the winner will be published in Glimmer Train and receive ten copies. The second-placed entry will win $500 ($700 and ten copies if selected for publication) and the third-prize winner will get $300 ($700 and ten copies if selected for publication).
There is a reading fee of $18.
The closing date 31 October, but there is a one-week grace period.
