KingAuthor competitions for short story writers and novelists

Authors' advisory service KingAuthor is offering cash prizes and critiques in its inaugural short story and novel opening competitions

There are prizes in each category of:

• First prize £100 plus critique

• Second prize £50

• Third prize: £25

The short story competition is for stories of up to 2,000 words. There is an entry fee of £3.50.

The opening of a novel competition is for the first chapters of a novel up to 10,000 words. There is an entry fee of £3.50.

The closing date is 31 March. All entries for The King Author Prize 2013 must be submitted through the online competition entry form.
