'In September, the fifth novel in my Regency series set in Clifton was released,' writes Gloria. 'Lady Tilly’s Racing Heart. Apart from being historically about life in Clifton at that time, I like to give something for my regular characters who come and go throughout the series to gossip about, and Clifton in the early nineteenth century was abounding with "goings on", supplying a non-stop feast for the inhabitants to mull over. In Lady Tilly’s Racing Heart I have chosen the Clifton Cup as the talking point and although Lady Tilly’s heart does undoubtedly race at times when confronted by the handsome Duke, it’s horse racing that really sets her heart a-racing.
'Lady Tilly’s Racing Heart is published with Musa, an American publishers I was introduced to three years ago through Writing Magazine. It’s available directly through Musa publishing or Amazon.
'On November 16th I will be appearing at the Looe Literary Festival and I would like to offer a free workshop to anyone who is interested in writing a historical novel. The premise will be: the sense of an era – how to research and capture the authentic Regency period. It would be helpful if participants contact me beforehand  with their ideas and hopefully bring a sample of their writing to the workshop as time at the venue will be limited and I would like to encourage new writers as much as possible.'
