The Writers' HQ competition is for LGBTQ+ stories of love, acceptance, charity and grace. With swearing.
Send stories up to 500 words. Stories should be original, unpublished, on an LGTBQ+ theme touching on love, grace and compassion, and may include as much creative swearing as the writer feels like.
The winner will get £100, twelve months Writers' HQ membership and three free retreats (worth £450). The second and third placed writers will get £50 and £50, plus six months Writers HQ membership and three free retreats (worth £270). An honourable mention will get £25. The judges are Paul McVeigh and Kirsty Logan.
Entry is free, but donations to LGBTQ+ mental health charity MindOut are gratefully accepted.
The closing date is 30 November.
