Brympton Literature and Arts Festival takes place at a stunning 15th century manor house in Somerset ...

The first Brympton Literature and Arts Festival is now on, at Brympton House, near Yeovil in Somerset.

The festival runs until Thursday, with speakers still to appear including Margaret Graham, Sophie Duffy, Helena Drysdal, Young Elizabeth author Kate Williams, The Garden Party author Sarah Challis, Adrian Tinniswood and Prue Leith. There are also workshops on writing biography and publishing. Tickets for all events are very reasonable, with the workshops at only £5 each.

Brympton House is a privately-owned manor house, which is not generally open to the public. Its owners fund its upkeep with occasional civil weddings and filming. The festival is organised by the Friends of Brympton.
