Entries invited for ebook novella comp from Hot Key Books

The winner's novella will be published by Hot Key's digital-first imprint, Hot Key UNLOCKED
The imprint, for genre stories, will launch in November with three romance shorts. The Red Hot Key competiton is for novellas in the romance genre, and the winning story will be published as the fourth in the launch series, entitled Last Christmas.
Writers entering the competition must write a 2,000 extract from their story in response to a specific brief set by Hot Key Books. They must also send a synopsis of the complete novella.
The deadline for this is 13 October.
The winner will need to file their complete 20,000-word novella by 8 November.
Last Christmas will be published on 6 December. The winner will receive a £1,000 advance against royalties.
