Encyclopaedia Britannica is abandoning print publication to concentrate on the internet version. The last edition of the printed 32-volume set that is available to purchase is from 2010. The print encyclopaedias will cease being available when the current stock runs out. The set is currently on sale on the website for $1,395/£894.

Encyclopaedia Britannica first launched an online version in 1994. The online content will be free for a week from next Tuesday (20 March) to mark the end of the print version.
