The prize is for new interactive fiction or non-fiction written specifically for digital delivery and reading/viewing
There is a main prize of £1,000, a student prize of three month's paid internship at Unicorn Training, the Dot Award of £500 and a people's choice prize of £500.
The New Media Writing Prize's main prize and student prize will be given for an innovative creative storytelling project: a short story, novel, poem, documentary or transmedia work using words, images, film or animation with audience interaction. Entries should combine media elements, and should not be text-only stories or poems, words uploaded to a blog, Flickr slideshows or videos uploaded to YouTube.
The Dot Award will be awarded for a digital literary project that shows promise and practicablilty, and could be completed by the end of 2016.
The closing date for the main prize is 27 November. The deadline for the student prize is 11 December.
