The last chance for poets aged between 11 and 17 to get in entries for The Foyle Young Poets of the Year Award 2011 is 31 July

Poets can enter more than one poem, of any length, on any theme. The competition is free to enter.

100 winners, including 15 overall winners, will receive their awards at a prize ceremony on National Poetry Day. Overall winners in the 15-17 age category will be awarded week-long residential Arvon courses tutored by this year's judges, Imtiaz Dharker and Glynn Maxwell. Winners between 11 and 14 will be awarded poetry residencies at their school followed by distance mentoring.
