Munster Literature Centre invites poems and prose in English and Irish for the summer issue of its journal
Southword is published at least twice a year and past contributors have included Colm Toibín and Haruki Murakami as well as debut and emerging writers.
Accepted submissions are paid at €30 per poem and €120 per short story.
Writers may send up to 6 poems and/or no more than two short stories not longer than 3,000 words.
The closing date for all submissions to Southword Journal is 15 March.
