Creative writing prizes: 2019 Allingham Flash Fiction and Poetry Competitions

Win €300 in each category in the Allingham Festival competitions

The competition is for flash fiction up to 700 words and poetry up to 40 lines. Each entrant may submit up to five pieces in each category. All entries must be original and unpublished. The entry fee is €5 per piece.

Winners will be invited to read their entries at an awards ceremony at the Literary Lunch at Ballyshannon on 9 November.

The Allingham ArtsFestival, in honour of the poet William Allingham, is a community event that takes place in Ballyshannon, Co Donegal, between 7 and 9 November.

The competition closing date is 26 September.
