Win a first prize of $1,000 in the competition for prose up to 250 words
The now annual competition known as 'The Mikey' is for fiction, non-fiction and hybrid narratives. All entries should be prose, not poetry.
The winner will receive $1,000. The second-placed entry will receive $500, and the third-placed, $300. The finalists will each get $100 and all the winning and finalist entries will be published in the December 2024 edition of SmokeLong Quarterly.
The entry fee is $11 for two and $16 for four up to 30 September, and then $14 for two and $22 for four.
Entries close on 15 November.
