Creative writing prize: The Grazia and Women's Prize for Fiction First Chapter Competition

Complete a first chapter from the opening paragraph from Diana Evans to win

Award-winning Ordinary People author Diana Evans (pictured) has written the opening paragaph of a story. Competition entrants are asked to complete the chapter, in any style or genre between 800 and 1,000 words.

The winner and a guest will be invited to the Women's Prize for Fiction award ceremony in London in June. Their winning chapter will be published in Grazia and they will receive a meeting with a senior Random House editor and a year's mentoring from Diana Evans.
