Applications are invited on this year's theme, which is 'Fear'
The winner will receive a £3,000 cash grant. Second and third place runners up receive £1,000.
To enter, send original, unpublished writing on the theme, no longer than 1,250 words. The word count has been reduced from previous years. Entries may be in any genre, including fiction, non-fiction and academic work.
Entry is free.
Each writer may send one entry.
The closing date is 1 April.
