The deadline has been extended for stories that explore the theme of 'water' in any way you like
The competition, for original, unpublished short stories between 1,500 and 5,000 words, is open to writers all over the world. The winner will receive $500 and there are second and third prizes of $100 and $75. The winner will be published in the August 2017 issue of Lakeview International Journal of Literature and Arts and the winners and shortlisted entries will be considered for publication in the Strands Four Elements Short Fiction Anthology.
There is an entry fee of $8/€7.50/£6.50 per story.
The closing date to enter the Strands International Short Story Competition is 15 June.
