Monofiction's new contest has a first prize of £300

The international competition is for original, unpublished short fiction between 1,000 and 3,000 words on the theme of 'Scars', which may be interpreted in any way the writer choses.

The first prize is £300 and there are second and third prizes of £100 and £50. The winning story will be published in the April 2022 edition of Monofiction and three highly commended stories will be published online. The judge is Amanthi Harris.

The entry fee is £6 per story. Writers may each enter up to three pieces.
