The competition from Ringwood Publishing is for writers with a connection to Scotland
The Ringwood 2024 Short Story Competition is an inclusive contest for stories from up-and-coming writers from all walks of life. It's open to writers based or formerly resident in Scotland, or who identify as Scottish.
The winner of the Alan Smith prize for best short sroty will receive £100 and the winning story, and up to one other, will be published online.
The Grant Muir Prize (£50) will be awarded to the best entry by a Ringwood intern, member of staff or author.
Enter original, unpublished short fiction up to 3,000 words.
The entry fee is £2 per story.
The closing date is 6 December.
