To celebrate its 100th anniversary, Reader's Digest is relaunching the contest
The competition is for original, unpublished stories of exactly 100 words (not including title).
There are three categories:
• The adults category has a first prize of £1,000 and a Serious Readers High Definition Floor or Table Light. The runner up will receive £250.
• The 12-18 category winner will get a £200 book voucher or a Kindle Paperwhite and a £100 book voucher for their school. The runner up will get a £100 book voucher.
• The winner of the under 12 category will get a £100 book voucher or a Kindle paperwhite and a £100 book voucher for their school. The runner up will get a £50 book voucher.
The Reader's Digest editorial team will pick three winners in each category and readers will vote for their favourites from 1 to 30 June 2022.
Entry is free.
The closing date is 30 May.
