The competition to raise money for Hertford Museum is designed to celebrate the town of Hertford
You don’t have to live in Hertford to take part, but poems and flash fiction must relate to the town in some way - through history, people, events, memories etc.
The competition will raise funds for the Museum both through entry fees and through the Love Hertford book in which the winning and shortlisted poems and flash fiction will be published. The winner will receive £100. All shortlisted writers will receive a copy of the book and be invited to read their work at an awards evening on 5 October. The judge is poet and lecturer Amina Alyal.
Enter poems up to 30 lines and flash fiction up to 400 words.
The entry fee is £5 per poem or story or £12 for three poems or stories.
Deadline: 19th June
