Creative writing prize: Ink of Ages Fiction Prize 2024

Enter historical or mythological short fiction in the competition from World History Encyclopedia and Oxford University Press

There are two age categories: Entrants aged 18 and over should submit historical or mythological short fiction between 1,500 and 2,000 words. Submissions from writers aged 13-17 should be between 800 and 1,000 words.

All entries must be original and unpublished, and set at least 50 years in the past. Time travel stories are not accepted.

Prizes include cash to spend in the WHE store and book bundles.

Entry is free.

The closing date is 15 September.
