Creative writing prize: Grindstone 2017 Summer Novel Opening Competition

Polish the first pages of your novel to win cash prizes and editorial feedback

The summer competition from Grindstone Literary Services is for the first 1,000 words of a novel manuscript. Every entrant will be provided with feedback. The winner will receive £250, and there are second and third prizes of £100 and £50. Fourth and fifth prize-winners will receive a critical overview by the Grindstone editorial team of a piece of writing of their choice.

The entry fee is £6.

The closing date is 28 August.
