The international contest is accepting entries on any theme

The Frome Festival Short Story Competition is an annual creative writing contest for original, unpublished short fiction between 1,000 and 2,200 words.

The prizes for 2022 are £400, £200 and £100. There are also local first and runner-up prizes for a writing living in a 25-mile radius of Frome Library, and a £50 Local Writer prize for the best sotry by a local writer aged 16-21 (entries to this category are free).

The entry fee is £8 per story.
