All types of fantasy stories are welcomed in the British Fantasy Society's annual short story competition
Enter original, unpublished fantasy, horror, SF, fabulation, magic realism, slipstream, or any other kind of fantasy story up to 5,000 words. Stories should be for adult readers, not children's or YA fiction.
All writers, published and unpublished, may enter. The sole judge will be editor and BFS committee member Allen Ashley.
The first prize is £100, a year's membership of the BFS and publication in BFS Horizons. The second and third prizes are £50, a year's membership and publication and £20 and publication.
Entry is £5 per story. BFS members each get one free entry.
The closing date is 30 June.
