Brain of Forgetting seeks contributions on the theme of 'stones' for its first issue
Brain of Forgetting is a new online forum for writing and artwork relating to history, memoir and heritage. It is edited by Bernadette McCarthy.
For the first issue, creative interpretations of 'stones' are invited, particularly those that involve a dialogue with the past. Writers may submit:
• Poems (up to 4, each no longer than 100 lines)
• Flash fiction (up to two pieces, each no longer than 1,000 words)
• Creative non-fiction (up to two pieces, each no longer than 1,000 words)
Submissions of graphic and visual art relating to the theme are also welcome, and should be submitted as jpgs.
There is no payment for writers.
The closing date for submissions is 31 October.
