Win a £150 first prize in the quarterly contest for stories that must contain specific elements
The latest quarterly prompt contest from Cranked Anvil is for stories that must contain all three of the following elements:
• The story must take place within a 24-hour timeframe
• Weather should play a role in the story
• The story must contain the words 'stool', 'consult' and 'languid'
Stories should be between 700 and 1,000 words.
The winner will receive £150 and there are second and third prizes of £75 and £30. Winning stories will be published online, and may be considered for publication in a Cranked Anvil anthology.
The entry fee is £5 for the first, £3 for the second and £2 for the third.
The closing date is 1 July.
