Crowvus has launched a competition to find chilling tales for Christmas reading

Crowvus' A Ghost Story for Christmas Competition is for tales in the tradition of telling spooky stories round the fire in the middle of winter. The winner in the children's category and the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and six highly commended stories in the adult category will be published in an anthology, and each included writer will receive a copy. First, second and third prizewinners will each receive a percentage of the entry fees, and the children's prizewinner will receive a £50 giftcard.

Enter original, unpublished stories up to 4,000 words. Entry is free for children and £3/£5 for two for adults.

The closing date is 30 September.
