Creative writing competitions: F(r)iction Literary Contests 2019

$1,600 in prizes to be won for short stories, flash fiction and poetry

 

Entries for the F(r)iction Literary Contests may come from anywhere in the world, and must be original and unpublished

There are three categories:

• Short stories. Enter stories in any genre, between 1,000 and 7,500 words. There is a prize of $1,000 and the winning story will be featured in triannual print collection F(r)iction. Five finalists will be considered for publication. The entry fee is $15 per story.

• Poetry. Enter poems no longer than three pages. There is a prize of $300 and publication in the trianual print collection F(r)iction. Fiver runners up will be considered for publication in print and online. There is an entry fee of $10 for one poem and $12 for three poems.

• Flash fiction. Enter fiction up to 1,000 words in any genre. There is a prize of $300.nd publication in the triannual print collection F(r)iction. Five runners up will be considered for publication in print and online. The entry fee is $8 for one poem and $12 for three poems.

The closing date is 15 December.
