Win a £1,000 prize for the best unpublished short story of the year
The V.S. Pritchett Short Story Prize is run the Royal Society of Literature and suported by ALCS.
The annual competition awards a £1,000 prize and the winner's story is published in Prospect magazine and the RSL Review. This year's judges are Tash Aw, Tania Hershman and Fiona Mozley.
The competition is open to writers resident in the UK, Republic of Ireland and the Commonwealth. Stories should be original, unpublished and between 2,000 and 4,000 words.
The entry fee is £8 per story.
The closing date is 13 September.
