The London Book Fair competition gives authors the chance to pitch to top agents

Six shortlisted authors will be selected to take part in The Write Stuff competition, which takes the form of a Dragon's Den-style panel event at Author HQ during the LBF (between 12 and 14 March).

The authors will have three minutes to pitch in front of an Author HQ audience to a panel of literary agents including representatives from Eve White, Felicity Bryan Associates, LBA and The BKS Agency. Judges will provide on-the-spot feedback to each pitch and the winner will have a follow-up meeting with a literary agent and receive a year's free membership of LBF's Author Club.

To apply to take part, send 250 words consisting of a covering note and synopsis of the book you would like to pitch. The closing date is 31 January.
