Literary journal The White Review is inviting entries for its annual short story prize

The annual competition is for short stories that expand the possibilities of the form by emerging writers who have yet to secure a publishing deal, and has a first prize of £2,500.

The winning story will be published in The White Review’s quarterly print edition and the runners up will be published online.

The prize rewards innovative storytelling, and submissions in all genres are welcomed. This year’s judges are Chris Power, Sophie Seard and Michal Shavit.

The entry fee is £15 per story.

The closing date is 4 March.
