The competition is for historical fiction based around Australian events
The Stringybark Times Past Awards are given for original, unpublished short historical fiction of any length up to 1,500 words. Stories must be based on real events that either occurred in Australia or have relevance to Australians.
The prizes are A$350, A£250 and A$125 plus publication and Stringybark books. Highly commended stories win publication and ebooks.
The entry fees are one story for A$15, two stories for A$28 and three for A$39.
