The international Short Story competition invites short fiction up to 5,000 words
There is a first prize of £300, a second prize of £150 and a third prize of £50. Winning entries are published on The Short Story competition showcase website.
Enter stories between 1,000 and 5,000 words on any subject or theme. Don't enter poetry, novel extracts, writing for children, sci fi or fantasy.
Each writer may submit one story to The Short Story competition. There is a £5 entry fee.
The closing date is 15 September.
