There is a first prize of £500 plus publication, and a second prize of £100.
Entries to the Short Fiction Prize may be on any theme and in any genre. Writers may enter as many stories as they like. There is an entry fee of £6 for one story, or £10 for two (writers taking this option will receive a free copy of the next issue of Short Fiction worth £10).
Edited by Tom Vowler, Short Fiction is published annually each autumn, containing short stories by new authors alongside others who are well-known. Each story has a bespoke front illustration and its own chapbook of space.
The closing date for the Short Fiction Prize is 31 March.
