Win $3,000 in the prestigious short story competition now in its 20th year

The annual competition from Carve Magazine is one of the world's most renowned short fiction contests. The first prize is $2,000. There is a second prize of $500, a third prize of $250 and two Editor's Choice prizes of $125. Winning entries will be published in print and online, and the stories will be also read by three literary agents.

The competition is for literary fiction. Enter original, unpublished short stories up to 10,000 words.

The entry fee is $17 per story (online) and $15 (postal).
