The competition for unagented UK novelists, playwrights and screenwriters who have not previously had a publishing contract is inviting submission of work by talented new voices. The competition is being run by 42 in conjunction with the Department of English at the University of Oxford.

To enter, send a synopsis, an elevator pitch and either the first 10,000-15,000 words of a novel, a complete script (30 to 90 pages) of a stage or radio play, a script (30 to 60 pages) for the first episode of a TV show, or a complete feature-film script (90 pages).

Entry is free. One entry is allowed per person.

The closing date is 30 April.
