The competition is for writing that explores the writer's relationship with the natural world
This year's Moth Nature Writing Prize, from The Moth literary journal, will be judged by Cal Flyn and given to a piece of writing that combines exceptional literary merit with the writer's exploration of the natural world and their relationship to it.
There is a first prize of €1,000 and a week at Circle of Misse. There are second and third prizes of €500 and €250.
Entries may be prose or poetry. The maximum word count is 4,000. All entries must be original and unpublished.
The entry fee is €15.
The closing date is 30 September.
