The annual contest for food and drink themed short stories is now in its 10th year

The Mogford Prize for Food and Drink Writing is an annual international competition for short stories that have food and drink and their heart.

This year's judges are Michael Morpurgo and Andi Oliver. The winner receives £10,000 and their story will be recorded and uploaded to the Story Player collection on the Mogford Prize website. Three runners up will each get £250. The winners' stories will be published in a mini-publication by The Oxford Collection that will be made available to guests in The Oxford Collection hotels. The winner and shortlisted entrants will be invited to the Mogford Prize Party and receive a night in an Oxford Collection hotel.

To enter, send original, unpublished short fiction up to 2,500 words.

The entry fee is £15 per story.

The competiton opens on 8 November. The closing date is 12 January 2022.
