Creative writing competition: The Masters Review Winter Short Story Award for New Writers

Win $3,000, publication and agency review

The annual international contest for emerging writers invites entries of original, unpublished fiction up to 6,000 words.

In addition to the first prize of $3,000, there are second and third prizes of $300 and $200. All three winners will be published in The Masters Review and will receive agency review. This year's judge is Ye Chun.

The contest is for new and emerging writers. Writers who are self published, writers with story collections and writers whose novels are published by indie presses with small circulations (less than 5,000) are also welcome to submit.

The entry fee is $20.

The closing date is 31 January 2022.
