The contest is for unpublished crime or thrillers from writers from North East England
The Lindisfarne Prize, which is sponsored by author L J Ross through her publishing imprint Dark Skies Publishing, is open to writers of crime and thrillers who are from, or whose work celebrates, the North East of England. The prize is now in its fourth year.
The winner will receive £2,500 to support the completion of their work as well as funding towards membership of both the Society of Authors and the Alliance of Independent Authors. The winner will also receive mentoring and editorial opportunities.
Send either a short story up to 10,000 words, or the first two chapters of a longer work in progress with a brief synopsis. Writers entering the contest may have been previously published/self-published, but all submissions to the 2022 Lindisfarne Prize for Crime Fiction must be of unpublished work.
Entry is free.
The closing date is 30 June.
