This year's theme is 'Stories of Resistance'
The competition is for non-fiction up to 3,000 words by UK writers from Black, Asian, Mixed heritage and ethnic minority groups.
The winning pieces will be published in an anthology and the writers will each be paid £150.
The JKP Writing Prize is partnering with Hachette's Future Bookshelf scheme, which offers support to aspiring writers from under-represented backgrounds.

All submissions must be original and unpublished.
Entry is free.
The closing date is 21 October.
