Enter stories on the theme of 'Childhood Memories'

The Grow Old Disgracefully Over 90s Short Story Prize is for any UK writer aged 90 or more.

Enter short stories up to 500 words on the 'Childhood Memories' theme.

'We chose childhood memories as the theme because anyone over 90 will have been brought up before or during the war.' said Grow Old Disgracefully founder Jackie Flaherty. 'They must have some amazing tales to tell, so we are asking them please to write them down for us all.'

The winning writer will receive £200 and their story will be published online. They will also be given a tree of their choice to be planted near their home. A similar prize will be given to the best story by a writer living in care home.

Entry is free. Each writer may enter one story.
