Stories and poems are invited from new writers inspired by the theme of 'peace'
Prizes in the Fresher Writing Prize are designed to boost the winners' careers as a writer, and in addition to cash awards of £200 in each category, include advice and feedback from an industry professional and a chance to record their work.
Fresher Press is based at Bournemouth University and is intended to encourage new writers.
To enter, send original, unpublished short stories in any genre up to 3,000 words and poems up to 42 lines.
Each entry costs £7.
The closing date is 7 January.
