Creative writing competition: The Dinesh Allirajah Prize for Short Fiction

The theme for this year's contest is 'Crime stories'

The annual competition from Comma Press and The University of Central Lancashire is in honour of writer, lecturer and Comma Press founding board member and director Dinesh Allirajah, who died in 2014.

This year's competition is for fiction with the theme 'Crime stories'. The winner will receive £500 and all ten shortlisted stories will be published in a Comma Press anthology. The winning story will also be published online by Northern Soul.

Enter original, unpublished short fiction between 2,000 and 6,000 words.

Each writer may enter one story.

The closing date is 29 October 2021.
