The competition for stories up to 5,000 words has a £500 first prize
The Exeter Story Prize, from Creative Writing Matters, offers brief feedback to every entrant. Longer feedback is available as a one-page report for an additional fee.
Enter original, unpublished short stories on any theme, up to 5,000 words. The winner will receive £500 and there are second and third prizes of £200 and £100. The £200 Trisha Ashley Award is given for 'engaging and quirky' short stories.
The entry fee is £12 per story. The entry fee plus a one-page report costs £40.
The closing date is 31 August 2021.
