Creative writing competition: Segora International Writing Competition

Cash prizes in each category, for poetry, prose and plays

Prizes are £300, £50 and £30 in the poetry and short stories categories of the Segora International Writing Competition. There are additional prizes of £100 for a one-act play, and £50 for a vignette.

Winning entries will be published on www.poetryproseandplays.com and prizes will be presented at a presentation weekend, venue and date TBA. Judges are: Poetry, Roger Elkin; short stories, Amanda Hodgkinson; vignettes, Ed Briggs; one-act plays, Gordon Simms. All entries are judged anonymously.

Poems: maximum 50 lines; entry fee £4.
Short stories: 1,500-3,000 words; entry fee: £6.
Vignettes: maximum 300 words; entry fee, £4.
One-act plays: maximum 35 minutes running time; entry fee, £12.
