The 2023 competition includes a new prize – the Write Mango Award
The international competition, which was launched in 2014 with a first prize of £300, now has a first prize of £3,000.
There is a second prize of £500 and a second prize of £250, and winners are offered a year’s free membership of the Scottish Arts Club. There is also the Isobel Lodge Award, worth £750, which is open to unpublished writers living in Scotland, and the Write Mango Award, which is newly introduced this year, and is for fun, amusing, bizarre and delicious stories. Winners and longlisted writers will be published in the next anthology.
To enter, send original, unpublished short stories up to 2,000 words.
The entry fee is £10.
The closing date is 28 February 2023.
