The Society of Authors prize is for a debut novel by a writer over 40
The annual McKitterick Prize from the SoA is given for a first novel by an author aged over 40 who has not published any other novel. Submissions must be fiction published or self published in the UK between 1 November 2021 and 31 October 2022, or unpublished.
The winner will receive £4,000 and the runner up gets £2,000.
