The £20,000 prize is open to writers who publish their work through Kindle Direct Publishing
The competition is for original books in any genre first published through Amazon's KDP programme between 1 May and 31 August 2022. Books have to made available in ebook and print formats for sale through Amazon.
The award shortlisting is based on customer feedback. A panel of judges, this year including Adam Kay, last year's winner Rachel McLean and Mel Sharratt, will then select the 2022 Kindle Storyteller Award winner. The first prize is £20,000 and a merchandise package to support the book on Amazon.co.uk. Each finalist gets a Kindle Oasis e-reader.
Books must be at least 24 pages long, and must not have been published anywhere before, in any language.
Entry is free.
The closing date is 31 August.
