Now in its third year, the competition invites short stories on the subject of 'The jewel'.
Harpers Bazaar has a long history of publishing short stories, by writers including Nancy Mitford, Virginia Woolf and Ali Smith.
The contest winner's story will be published in Harpers Bazaar and its writer will receive a two-night stay for two persons in a suite at the Royal Crescent Bath.
All entries to the Harpers Bazaar Short Story Competition 2016 must be original and unpublished, and may be up to 3,000 words.
There is no entry fee.
The closing date is 21 January.
