The competition for unpublished and independently published novelists has a £1,000 first prize
Now in its eighth consecutive year, the annual competition from Daniel Goldsmith invites submissions of work-in-progress and completed novel manuscripts by unpublished and self published writers. Manuscripts should be at least 50,000 words long, and in any genre aimed at adult readers.
The first prize is £1,000, and there are second and third prizes of £250 and £100.
To enter, submit an opening extract and a synopsis, up to 5,000 words in total.
The entry fee is £25 per manuscript.
The closing date is 31 May.
